Goruck T-shirt – Conquer Yourself Limited Quantities, Act Fast!

We??re all in this world together and what I??ve learned through Special Forces training and operations is that to succeed we must act as a team. Many have also found this to be true as they??ve attended GORUCK events – it??s what we teach and it??s a great lesson to learn. I??ve also found that to be a great team member, you must first be a great individual.

As a young man living in Seattle in the early 1960??s I was fortunate enough to attend a speech given by Jim Whittaker – the first American to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

He included two comments in his speech that stuck with me –

??If you aren??t living on the edge, you??re taking up too much space.??

And the comment that most inspired me –

??You never conquer the mountain. Mountains can??t be conquered; you conquer yourself.??

That phrase has held throughout my life – so I challenge you –
